It did not work out. The strategy is good but you need the capacity to handle futures well to take advantage of that. I am as jumpy as a cat on a hot tin roof when holding futures, that raises the cost of holding the covering futures to such an extent that the strategy turns to a broker funding exercise! But it is a great strategy if you are always holding positional futures.

ReplyDeleteDon't deal in options.When ever I get the motivation,I hear a bad review about options.Most of the hedging strategies turns out to be "broker funding exercise".I wonder who creates and does marketing of it.
Will see the strategy some other time.It needs a lot of capital and patience to sit through the month.I lack both!!
