How to use the Market Calls Table

4 comments:

  1. Nifty Swing is UP.
Reliance, ICICI, Rel Capital, DLF, Tata Steel Swing is Down. Confusing.

How you are calculating the Swing direction (indicators, time frame, option data etc).

    Thanks

  2. Hi Vinod,
good to see your comments here,I visited your blog, and read about option pain some new perspectives there..keep up the good work.
You can check this post, how I trade and my method is explained there

    http://financeandtradingmadeeasy.blogspot.com/2010/01/how-to-use-market-calls-table.html

and there is a link in that post regarding SAR as well...check that too

Now as you must be knowing that we are moving in a range, that's why you are seeing different swing in different stocks,

Stock came quite close to reversal level mentioned yesterday, but just couldn't breakthrough.while nifty and bank nifty broke that level yesterday itself.

And you should not see one stock and trade another.Stocks performance is related to index, but it can show divergent moves at times.

So when I post the swing moves ,I analyze each stock/index individually taking its recent price action in mind(1-3 days)
I hope it helps you,if you have more questions ,let me know
    Cheers ...good luck

  3. Thanks Anuj for the immediate reply....
I was confused coz Reliance, DLF, ICICI are Nifty heavy weights if they are down then i thought Nifty will either move down or trade sideways...
The swing direction is based on SAR..am i right...

  4. hi vinod...
stocks make the index move...or index makes the stock?
That's a confusing question...generally when every thing is in red/green we have a trend...other wise sideways market...that's another way how the table can be used...right?
When there is confusing trend (sideways markets)...sell options
When table is in one color(red /green)buy option..
    Just a random thought...:)
Yes swing direction is based on sar
Even i wanted to ask you how come you are up and posting comments... I worked in a call center for about 2 years..I am still struggling to get back the routine, to active day life...I feel more fresh at night...I tried to sleep but now i am back...Will sleep during market hours...nice way to avoid intra day noise!!
    Good luck cheers
