Below is the list of stocks that stood firm during the bear market of 2011. These stocks have given average performance if we compare them with best performing stock since 20 December 2011(bear market bottom). However if we compare them on long term basis they have outperformed. Therefore, the short term performance in stocks(since 20 December 2011) is a combination of short covering induced buying and value buying, concentrated in beaten down stocks.
