Just another post for "Good morning" greetings! :)

Succumbing to pressure tactics from "r m" to start a new post as the comments section of the previous post was getting a bit too long, I am starting this new post. Hope it keeps him happy for a few days :D

    Did you manage to trade on 11th and 12th July? As you said you do intra-day only, just want to know how you go about managing and planing a trade with a down trend and a gap down open?

    Hi,good morning.
    "Market seems to be reaching bottom"
    I think it depends on time frame. For long term investing time frame, I feel that the rates will still rise and it will create a credit crunch for corporates and then a slow down in growth( the usual cycle)

    Nevertheless you can always find a cheap stock.

    I go with deep value investing.Escorts, Facor alloys and ADSL. For more than 3 years holding period and accumulation on dips. And please do a bit of research on these.I dont hold them as of now.

    @abhishek,r m and all
    Good morning! :)

    good evening....not able to login whole day due to compliance of clients return filing...31 july.
    @anuj
    rate cycle is peaking...probably can expect pause...industry is flesh with funds...if interest rates rise, corporates can go for ECB or foreign currency borrowing with currency hedging
    in that backdrop, looking for something to pick in stocks...
    thanks for your recommendations. what is it ADSL

    thanks.
    Return of Networth and Return on Capital Employed is not so favorable.
    EPS is continually coming down due to equity dilution.
    high current ratio indicates poor working capital management
    high book value may be due to revaluation which means no hidden value on assets..
    random thoughts on ADS
    Still prospects seems to be forward looking and will keep a track on financials...

  25. @Sri
    Thanks, what about the other two, Escorts and Facor alloys....or I am asking too much :D

    ReplyDelete
  26. Anuj

    Escorts is good only thing is it will take long time....it depends on holding capacity...like me picking ashokleyland from 15 to 54..not sold inspite of price touching 70 plus...now bonus issue is there.
    Facor alloys...heard about it...but somehow not done research on it...will inform once done.

  44. There was this saying in a Sanskrit book in my school days:

    "Satyam brooyat, Priyam brooyat, na cha brooyat Satyam Apriyam"!

    Speak the truth, speak pleasant, but never speak unpleasant truth!

    p.s. I might have distorted the text and its meaning, it often happens with me. :)

    I have forwarded it to Ed bhaiya, poor guy was never taught Sanskrit!

    Wonderful site with its 25% extra saga. :)

    ED bhaiya should have studied Sanskrit to prosper, the americans would not have scaled these heights if they had not read Carvak's philosophy:

    "Yavam jeevet, sukham jeevet
    rinam kritva, ghritam peevet!"

    Jab tak jeena hai, sukh se jee,
    karja le aur ghee pee!

  51. AJ,i am tired of ur vanaprastha...when are you coming back,swinging into action..Although not a regular one to post comments in your blog,was really interested in following ur blog for certain valuable writeups...Do enthuse us by ur wonderful posts..Come back to action,or have you totally stopped trading,and switched to become an investor???Frustrated by your strategic time-off getting longer,i am forced to ask..Sorry!!!!

    Good evening...after a long time!
    No need to feel sorry about anything, ask what ever you want....that's what this comment section is for.

    I am not to sure how many people really benefited from the daily updates. At the same time, it took a lot of time to publish the posts. Recently Quote.com was closed. I used that a lot in my analysis. Cannot find a good alternative to that.

    I trade nifty these days,but for micro trends. Which are difficult to update. I feel there is a lot of scope for me to improve my trading, I am currently focused on that.

    At times I want to write "certain valuable write ups" but hold back due to, the time involved and don't know who will find value in those write ups and who will call it trash!. As every trader is in different stage of learning trading.

    Once I sort out my personal trading issues. I will start writing. If you have questions I can always redirect you to a good source of information. Do let me know what kind of information you are seeking.
    Best wishes...Cheers :)

  55. Good Morning AJ!

    Ab thodi bakvaas - today the number of comments on this post are going to cross the holy number 108, ab is blog per comment karne se saari ichhayein poori hongi. :D

    ReplyDelete
  56. @r m
    Good morning...I am not giving much importance to 108 (I don't follow fundamentals :D), according to me the minimum target for comments should be 161.8 Fibonacci level (162 approximately). "Watch out" for "crucial levels" below :
    T1 = 161.8
    T2 = 261.8
    T3 = 423.6
    .
    .
    .
    T4 = Infinity :D
